Research Description:

As a pediatric surgeon with special interest in lung diseases, my research focuses on lung development and regeneration. We are working to identify “mechanosensors” that regulate these processes. Successful identification of these “mechanosensors” can help us find treatment for diseases such as congenital diaphragmatic hernia-induced pulmonary hypoplasia and persistent pulmonary hypertension, bronchopulmonary dysplasia.
